Happy New Year! 🥳🎉 Hawaii & News About Killer Flowers

A new year has arrived, which means new beginnings, new resolutions (or not) and new books! It might also mean planning the next vacation or looking forward to new relationships or a new job or retiring or…

For me, January always means getting away to Hawaii for a couple of weeks so I can enjoy the sunshine that we get too little of here in the western half of Washington state during the months of December through February. I love living here most of the time with our temperate climate and no hurricanes, tropical storms or tornadoes. January is the exception. I saw a word in Reader’s Digest years ago that describes our weather this time of the year—drismal. And it fits perfectly. Anyway, I figure that when we get back at the end of the month, it will only be six more weeks till Spring. And the plants and flowers coming alive again.

Thank you to those of you who have shared the word about my books. Killer Flowers is selling well overall. I’m having it narrated right now so I can release an Audible version before too long. The second book in the series is about Christie’s first big wedding. I’m at the muddly middle right now. Maybe the sunshine on Maui will trigger some inspiration for getting through the bunny trails to the surprising (it always surprises me, anyway) ending. I’m reminded of Albert Einstein’s words that go something like: “Logic will get you from a to b. Imagination will take you everywhere.” I’m ready to go there!

Until next time, happy reading!
