Resolutions & Goals

Less than a month into 2024 and I’ve already broken whatever resolution I made. Or at least I probably have because I don’t remember what I finally decided to go with! I do know that I promised myself I would write/release two books this year, if not more.

I’m eager to see what happens with Christie O’Mara’s flower shop if she pulls off the fantastic wedding she’s agreed to do for a young lady with a prickly mother. And Julia is ready to move on to her next temporary assignment after her week with Josh in New York. He’s promised to take her to see the famous Rockettes. I follow the Rockettes after seeing them live at Radio City Music Hall in 2022 with my younger sister. Every few days I get little snippets of their rehearsals and promo material. If only I were a little taller…in my next life!

By the time you read this, I will be getting prepared for a Zoom session with the book club of a long-time friend in Los Gatos, California. We talked about doing this pre-COVID when it would have been a live session. Their club has moved to a Zoom platform since that initial conversation, so while I would be happy to visit my friend (she’s the character “Jill” in Blind Fish Don’t Talk, by the way), we decided to stick with Zoom for the meeting and meet up live later in the warmer weather. And hunt for “sea glass” at the beach.

And I got a call from a program in San Francisco that would like to do a video interview about Joshua’s Tree (perhaps because it’s set in Southern California?). When the nice woman started talking about all the promo opportunities, I began to wonder what the catch was. Oh…I would get all this for the mere price of $999. Not in my budget this year. I’m holding out for someone from the Hallmark Channel. Do you know anyone?
