Feline Friends
When we adopted Cheddar, the orange tabby, and Button, my little black Houdini 9-month old kitten, we hadn’t anticipated how much entertainment they would provide, free of charge. Nor how much they would like to “help” me when I’m at the keyboard when I’m trying to write or watch a webinar or attend a zoom meeting. Button, aka Bunny, Bullet or Stinkerpot, stretches her long lean body across the keyboard and dares me to try to write. Cheddar wedges his orange tabby body between the keyboard and the screen and watches my fingers strike every single key.
Now I’m wondering if I should introduce a second cat into my Christie’s Flower Shoppe series. Button looks exactly like Stormy, sitting in the window of Christie O’Mara’s store. Did I mention that my high school colors were black and orange? Another coincidence in my world of unending providential moments…
Speaking of books, Killer Anniversary, the third book in my Christie’s Flower Shoppe will be available soon. I can hardly wait to get it “on the shelves” and into my reader’s book queues. Then I can start working on the next book! I’m toying with some new ideas, like a haunted mansion or a letter in an old cedar chest. We’ll see!
In the meantime, my Julia Fairchild series is warming up again. A local book club selected One Will Too Many for next month’s read. I hope they invite me to their discussion!
Until next time, happy reading!
