Killer Anniversary Paperbacks and a Chance Meeting

A few days after that momentous primary election, I flew to visit a long-time girlfriend. We met 43 years ago because of a roll of the dice. Honest! I was playing backgammon with the guy sitting next to me on an airplane headed to San Diego and dropped one of the dice. It rolled off the board and I crawled down the aisle to find it at the feet of a young lady a few rows back. When we got off to change planes for the next flight, we started visiting and discovered we were both going to the same place—a Club Med—and were traveling solo. She and I decided to be roommates and have been great friends ever since. Truly, a happenstance event that led to many more trips here and there, including my visit to her weekend “cabin” in Scotts Valley. We worked a couple of 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles, walked on the beach, caught up on life and promised to do it again next year.

By the time you read this, the paperback version of Killer Anniversary should be available at Amazon.com. I am thrilled with the professional review by Matt Pechey. He says he likes my writing! I am busy outlining the next adventure for Christie and her friends. My plan is to get this book written much more quickly now that life has settled down again. I hope I haven’t jinxed myself by saying that! I might even try creating a more extensive outline this time. My fellow authors say it works for them. We’ll see!

Until next time, happy reading!

It was a great party, until it wasn’t…

Christie’s Flower Shoppe is celebrating its first anniversary and its biggest commission yet: a fiftieth wedding anniversary party that puts Christie’s floral designs in a prestigious social spotlight. But when her extravagant bouquets set the scene for a murder, she finds herself dreading the headlines—again.

Luckily, she has a new venture to distract her: a garden landscape sideline with her best friend, Anita. With Christie’s knowledge of flowers and shrubs, and Anita’s flair for design, the business promises to take Christie beyond her shop walls.

When Anita overhears a shady backyard conversation while on the job, the murder victim’s past falls into their laps. But is this a garden-variety dispute, or a ruthless act of revenge?

KILLER ANNIVERSARY, the third cozy mystery novel in the Christie’s Flower Shoppe series by PJ Peterson.
