One Will Too Many

Who wanted him dead the most?

The morning after a successful fund-raising gala for the local historic theater, Dr. Julia Fairchild gets a frantic call from Sophia, Jay Morrison’s fiancée. The two of them discover Jay, the president of the newest bank in town, lying near death in his home.

Lab tests in the emergency department suggest that his ultimate death was not as natural as originally thought, prompting the police chief to start a homicide investigation. The suspects are many—from the competing bank’s president to the would-be actress fiancée-- but motives are few, as well as shaky.

Julia is invited to consult because her nephew, a deputy sheriff, was assisting with the case. She cracks open a door and discovers a host of secrets.

And uncovers the motive that trumps all the others.

ONE WILL TOO MANY, the fourth murder mystery novel in the Julia Fairchild series by PJ Peterson.
